Top Charlotte Attorney in Civil Litigation for 2017.

But what exactly does that mean and why should you care? To be selected as a Super Lawyer, a nominee must pass a rigorous multiphase, patented process. A total of twelve criteria is used to determine which lawyers provide outstanding legal counsel available to the public.

The first phase of the selection process involves nominations from peers through third-party feedback, surveys, and the Super Lawyers’ research team. Nominees cannot select themselves, nor are they allowed to campaign for the award. This alone speaks volumes about the lawyer you could potentially hire to represent you as he has a proven track record of client satisfaction and trust from his peers. Superman would only be Clark Kent if no one trusted him.

The second phase for being inducted is an evaluation through research on twelve indicators. Not all indicators are treated equal and some of these characteristics include:

  1. Verdicts/SettlementsMeet Thomas Bumgardner; he just opened a new Ballantyne law office.
  2. Experience
  3. Honors/Awards
  4. Special licenses/Certifications
  5. Bar and/or professional activity
  6. Scholarly lectures and writings
  7. Educational and employment background

If, after the first two phases of evaluation, a candidate has earned enough points they are asked to serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel. It is on this panel that they will evaluate other candidates within their primary focus. After these evaluations are made, a select few ranging from small, medium, and large firms will be chosen for the award. They will either be selected as a Rising Star or as a Super Lawyer. If a candidate is under 40 years old (or their practice is under 10 years old) they are chosen as a Rising Star.

In addition to civil litigation law for which he received his nomination, Mr. Bumgardner also represents clients in personal injury cases, family law cases, as well as traffic law cases. No matter the legal need, Thomas Bumgardner has your back.
